MONOCHROMATIC JOHN PARKER

LONG HOT SUMMER ANNE STEPHENS
Local artist, Anne Stephens, presents “Long Hot Summer”, a collection of four delightful abstract works on paper. Painted in her characteristic “birds eye view” style, Stephen's uses the grid as a starting point to explore colour, texture and form. Her seemingly simple work is imbued with personality, style and a sense of whimsy.

VESTIGES CHAUNCEY FLAY
Chauncey Flay transforms found objects and common stones into sublime, sophisticated sculptural creations. The location and context of where the material comes from is an important aspect of the work. This is explored through a laborious and reductive physical process of deconstruction and reconstruction of materials from which an austere yet compelling aesthetic is produced.

RESONANCE OF FEMININE ECRITURE FIONA FOX
“Resonance of Feminine Ecriture”, is a collection of exquisite wall sculptures of feminine forms by Fiona Fox. Each piece is constructed with wire mesh and thread and tells a story. Fox says, “The steel mesh acts as the strength of a woman which never leaves but is often obscure, while the thread is the language from the past, inscribing into the present, allowing a resonating future discourse”.
