M.A.C. Studio Visit, 20 Gillies Cres, Waimarama

Richard Adams

Auckland Colourfield artist and musician, Richard Adams, is this years' Muse Artist-In-Residence at Waimarama. From 2pm on Saturday, August 25. Adams will open the doors of his studio giving visitors a chance to watch him in action and learn about his process. The work completed during the residency will form the basis of his upcoming show opening at Muse on 7 September. 

Transport

You can use your own vehicle and meet us there or, if you need transport, a van will be departing from outside the gallery at 1.30pm at a cost of $20pp. Only 11 places in the van so if you need a lift, RSVP ASAP.

M.A.C Meeting - Art in the Home

To all MAC members + new members are always welcome (it's free to sign up).

Our next meeting is Wednesday 20th June. Doors open at 6.45 for 7.15pm start.

RSVP essential by Monday 18 June 2018 to kaye@museart.nz

Focus for this meeting will be ' Art in the Home'. We will have a brand new window space in place created by interior designers Bibby and Brady. We will also have guest speakers on the night to discuss the importance of how art can make a home.

$15pp to cover costs including light refreshments.

MAC (Muse Art Club) is a group of people interested in learning more about art in general as well as art purchasing.

Exhibition Opening: Playtime

Playtime is finally here... Over 50 Tondo's by anonymous artists for sale at $300 each.

Invite friends and family to celebrate the creative efforts of everyone who has contributed to this colourful exhibition. Light refreshments will be served.

There will be something for everyone's art taste! All welcome.

Playtime exhibition will run from 12 December - 24 December 2017.

Exhibition Opening: Kate Twhigg

Opening exhibition of local artist Kate Twhigg with special guest speaker Sandra Hazelhurst, Acting Mayor of Hastings.

The evening is also to celebrate the release of two new children’s books: Arlo and the Ginkgo Tree (illustrated by Kate Twhigg) and The Gift Horse (illustrated by Katharine White). Come enjoy a glass of bubbles and meet both talented illustrators as well as the author, Sophie Siers.

A Feast For The Senses

We invite you to join us for A Feast For The Senses, happening two nights only, 19 Gr 25 October. This event is a playful collab between Muse, Malo, and Smith & Co. designed to tease, excite and challenge you... just a bit.

Malo will serve a three course meal in the gallery, amidst the upcoming group show, Colour Sense, featuring work by Tyler Jackson, Fraser Chatham, Trish Campbell and Muse’s own Kage McGarva. Malo's Jackson Smith takes his cue for the menu from the exhibition, while Michael Henley of Smith & Co matches the wines. It promises to be a very different gallery experience!
