The very first foray into working with ceramic materials for Susannah was when she made a vertical “cut” to one side of a porcelain cylinder using a large industrial saw. Each light that is created using this technique is quite unique - the process of making the cuts leaves a random layered effect in the clay and the action and angle of the saw blade dictate the end result. Materials: porcelain clay, compact fluorescent tube, stainless steel Dimensions: 510mm x 100mm (approx) $590 Finish: Clear gloss glaze (matt unglazed finish available on request)
